Description
Solitary, ceratoid to cylindrical, or irregularly contorted, not large; major septa thick and extending to axis in young stages, thinning and retreating from axis in later stages; cardinal fossula distinguished by short cardinal septum; minor septa very short, no dissepiments; tabulae complete or incomplete, typically horizontal axially and becoming deflected proximal1y as they approach periphery [see STUMM & WATKINS, 1961, p. 446].
