Description

Corallum nodulose or with thick branches, corallites prismatic, opening almost perpendicular to surface in compressed-polygonal to semilunar, rather deep calices, walls moderately thick, thickening toward periphery of corallum, septal spines absent, but squamulae numerous, commonly back-to-back in neighboring corallites, thick proximally but attenuating distally, mural pores numerous, large, tabulae very thin, sparse, some dependent from squamulae.
