Solitary, curved conicocylindrical, with columellalike axial structure of dilated median plate and radial septal lamellae and tabellae, in early stages median plate continuous with counter septum and all septa dilated, dilatation decreasing first in counter quadrants, cardinal and commonly also neighboring pair of major septa shorter, in fossula on convex side of corallum, in late stages marginarium with large, concentric or in part angulate dissepiments, minor septa degenerate, tabulae declined from columella to marginarium, diphymorphic growth phases may occur in which columella disappears and tabulae flatten.
