Description
Phaceloid, with periodical expansions of lonsdaleoid dissepimentaria neighboring corallites into contact; major septa long, possibly convolute in wide tabularium; immediately after rejuvenescence commonly no dissepimentarium present and minor septa rudimentary; tabular floors domes with edges turned out or up and broad axial depression, tabulae complete or more commonly incomplete. [Neotype required; diagnosis based on Ludlovian specimen figured by SMITH (1945, pI. 29, fig. 1,2). See also LINDSTROM, 1896a, p. 631.]
